Enjoy an oasis of rest and freedom. Take advantage of the tranquility and the nature of the Ardennes around the campsite. You can relax during a swim in the lake of la Samaritaine which is right next to the campsite. The lake is guarded by a lifeguard in summer and a great place to be for young and old, thanks to the sandy beach and water games. The nearby forest can be visited on foot, by bike or on the back of a horse and is lots of fun for the whole family. Other activities, like visiting the park Nocturnia, kayaking on the river Meuse or spending an evening in the lovely harbor of Stenay, will make your stay even more pleasant. The camping la Samaritaine is in Buzancy which is known as the 'horses-village'. The Augeard stables consist of a museum and a riding school. They are located in the outbuilding of what used to be a castle. In the summertime the village organizes lots of different activities with the horse as focal point. Come and learn about our fascinating history... The camping la Samaritaine is close to historical monuments like Verdun, Reims and Charleville-Mézières, the hometown of the famous French poet Arthur Rimbaud.
